Terms and Conditions

Quotes and Prices

  1. Quotes are calculated according to the sum of the total number of words to be translated from the source document. Occasionally, quotes may be calculated according to the number of hours required to complete the project, taking into consideration elements such as tables, stamps, signatures, graphics, illustrations, dimensions and other factors relevant to the translation.
  2. Quotes are free of charge and not binding in any way.
  3. Quotes are valid for a period of 30 days. After this period, a new quote may be calculated.
  4. The minimum amount charged for any project is € 50.00 + VAT, with the exception of partnerships or previous agreements.
  5. An urgency rate of 20% is applied for jobs with a deadline of 24 hours or less, per 1500 words.
  6. Where documents are to be sent by mail, all shipping costs, previously communicated and agreed upon, will be added.

Contracting Tradusul’s services

  1. Approval of any project or quote must be in writing, preferably via email. Otherwise Tradusul reserves the right not to undertake the project.
  2. For jobs with a quote of more than € 200.00 (excluding VAT), 30% of the total amount must be paid as a deposit and initial payment. This amount will be refunded in full if cancellation is communicated in writing within the maximum period of 24hrs following acceptance of the quote.

Payment

  1. Payment for Tradusul’s services may be made in cash, by cheque, at an ATM or by bank transfer.
  2. You may request proof of service after payment of at least 30% of the total value, before settling the entire invoiced amount for quality control purposes.
  3. For projects delivered in person, payment can be made at the time of delivery.
  4. For regular clients, payment can be made up to 30 days after the invoice has been sent.
  5. Payments made by bank transfer must be communicated by email (or by sending the respective supporting documents) to contact@tradusul.com
  6. Tradusul will not make any refund should you decide that the project is no longer necessary or without proven failure in translation or of any other condition of the project.

Delivery dates

  1. All projects will always be delivered within the stipulated and previously agreed deadlines, except if there is a written indication to the contrary, communicated in advance (e.g. for cases where documents are added to the project), or due to unforeseen circumstances.
  2. The delivery dates communicated are always provisional until the project is begun and can be adjusted according to the start date. If the document changes in terms of number of words, formatting and/or presentation, the deadline may change.
  3. Deadlines do not include weekends, holidays or holiday periods.
  4. Where documents are sent by post, all shipping costs, previously communicated and agreed upon, will be added. Tradusul is not responsible for any delays, damages or non-receipt of correspondence in these cases.

Document certifications

  1. The price of these services is always stipulated according to the amount requested by the responsible entity (notaries, lawyers, solicitors). Tradusul reserves the right to include travel costs whenever applicable.
  2. You should always communicate in advance if these services are to be included in the project.
  3. The deadline for delivery of certified translations may change, since this is an external service to that scheduled.
  4. The terms, prices and conditions of certification services are the responsibility of the entity that delivers such services.

Interpreting services

  1. The price of interpreting services is defined by the hour, with the first and second hours being charged in full, even if the time is less than 60 or 120 minutes respectively.
  2. Prior to the start of the service, a pro forma invoice with a value of one hour of interpretation, or another amount according to the prior agreement with the client, is issued. The final invoice is issued upon completion of the service, at which point payment is made.
  3. Payment for the first hour of the service must be made up to two hours before the scheduled time, with the remaining payment (when the service exceeds the first hour) made after the completion of the service, by bank transfer or with cash at Tradusul’s premises.
  4. Cancellation must be communicated at least two hours in advance for short distances or 24 hours in advance for long distances. Otherwise the first hour of the service will always be charged.

  1. In addition to ensuring complete confidentiality of all documentation for your project, the information and data transmitted to Tradusul is strictly confidential and will never be provided to a third party, and is protected under the General Data Protection Regulation, which entered into force on 25th May 2018.
